ADXC Revealed The Date And Venue For Its Second Edition

Following its successful event, the Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship (ADXC) has disclosed to grappling enthusiasts that the date and venue for its second edition have been finalized. The upcoming tournament is nearer than the BJJ fans were expecting. Similar to the ADXC 1, the organization has chosen Abu Dhabi, the hub of competitive Jiu Jitsu, for the tournament venue. It will definitely elevate grappling to a new height on January 19th, 2024. Occurring just over two months after its first event, the ADXC 2 is set to present another robust card to set the organization’s reputation in the sport.

The supervision of AJP bolsters the tournament with its top-notch technical vision. The team responsible for organizing the event decided to revisit Abu Dhabi due to its operational excellence. The upcoming edition of the ADXC will include all the equipment from the previous event, along with a few unexpected elements to add more spice. Mr Tariq Al Bahri, General Manager at International Vision Sport Management (IVSM), discussed the significance of introducing a new event as significant as ADXC:

“ADXC’s first edition was a success that exceeded expectations. For the second edition, hosting the event in Abu Dhabi with even more flair will once again bring the eyes of the world to UAE, cementing it as an international hub for the sport at its highest level and inspiring not only active athletes to pursue their dreams but also a next generation of competitors, who’ll feel safe to enter the sport knowing they can make a living from it.

Mr. Mohammed Al Hosani, with his extensive experience in matchmaking, is fully committed to recruiting the next batch of competitors for the ADXC. His 20-year background in various aspects of combat sports, especially Jiu Jitsu and MMA, will help select the best ADXC 2 roster. He will also closely monitor local talents in the UAE and Arab countries.

“While we had some great performances by Neiman Gracie, Marvin Vettori, and Marcin Held, we cannot overlook the technical evolution when it comes to grappling in countries like the UAE and Arab nations. In addition to Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady’s victory, we had high-level performances coming from Tarek Suleiman, Zayed Alkatheeri, and Islam Reda, for instance. I’m sure the next card will have the perfect balance between the certified best and some hidden gems that stand to conquer the ADXC 2 and take the grappling world to another level.”
