Craig Jones Took Less Than 2 Minutes To Submit UFC Middleweight Gerald Meerschaert
Craig Jones is a Black belt BJJ competitor and an exceptional Australian grappler. Once again, he has shown outstanding grappling skills against UFC middleweight Gerald Meerschaert. Craig Jones took less than 2 minutes to submit Gerald Meerschaert at the event of Polaris 26.
Jones dominated the Meerschaert at the start of the match by moving on his back so rapidly that both of them fell on the BJJ mat. Craig Jones was determined to prevent any defensive move and escape attempt while executing the rare naked choke.
Despite having inspiring submissions in UFC middleweight, Meerschaert could not escape from Jones’ grip. After struggling hard for the 1:19 seconds, Jones found the way below the Meerschaert neck and secured the RNC finish. Here is the video in which Jones submitted UFC middleweight Meerschaert in less than two minutes.
After the most successful competition victories, Craig Jones is not sure about whether he will fight at ADCC 2024 or not. The main reason for this uncertainty is a lot of commitment required to compete in 2024. He mentioned:
I don’t know if I’ll do ADCC, you know? It’s a tough one.
It’s a lot of work you know? It’s a big commitment of time.
I’ll tell you what, the only reason I wanna do it is because you [Lachlan] have done ADCC how many times?
And I’ve done it 4 times, so I wanna just remind you that I will be in the five-timers club.
