Dillon Danis Appeals Disqualification Loss To Logan Paul

Dillon Danis recently revealed his plan to challenge the disqualification defeat he received in his first professional boxing match against Logan Paul on October 15, 2023. The fight gained significant attention in the lead-up, primarily because of Danis’ behavior on social media and the intense animosity between him and Paul. Paul’s fiancée, Nina Agdal, even filed a lawsuit against him due to the continuous trolling of her via his Twitter account.

Regrettably, the boxing match itself was highly disappointing. As soon as the two competitors stepped into the ring and the first round kicked off, it showed that the bout was not going to meet the expectations. The match expectation was set higher by the surrounding hype. No one would have anticipated a showcase of top technical boxing from a former BJJ competitor and Youtuber. Only a few would have foreseen the actual outcome of the match. Danis seemed hesitant to execute any punches on Paul. Even though Paul was evidently more eager to engage, he simply lacked the skill to inflict significant damage on an adversary. He barely strikes back for most of the fight.

Paul managed to show some decent hits whenever Danis let his guard down, but such instances were extremely rare. After five rounds of minimal actual boxing, the sixth round turned into utter chaos when Danis attempted to grapple with Paul. Paul defended with strikes against Danis on the ground, leading to security invading the ring as a fight broke out. The final result was a disqualification for Dillon Danis, but it’s evident that both parties violated the rules. Danis has announced his plans to file an appeal.

Dillon Danis disclosed his plans to appeal his disqualification defeat against Logan Paul in a recent tweet on his official Twitter account. This was in response to IFN Boxing’s footage showing a member of Paul’s security team entering the ring while the match was still in progress.
