Fight Card Disclosed For WNO 19

FIGHT CARD DISCLOSED FOR WNO 19

Who’s Number One Championship has revealed the main and preliminary card fighters as well as the dates for the (19th) competition. The competition is scheduled to take place on August 10, 2023. The match will last for 15 minutes in total. The bout will take place at Austin, Texas’ Palmer Event Center. The match will be broadcast on FloGrappling, and spectators must have a current subscription to watch it there. On FloSports’ official page, you can purchase a ticket for the competition.

The most prestigious and awaited wrestling competition is WNO. There will be no overtime in this No Gi submission only event. Positional supremacy is the central idea that drives competition. This tournament’s goal is to fight the best against the best.

Main Cards:

Kaynan Duarte vs Nicholas Meregali is the main card of the fight. Meregali and Duarte are squaring off against one another for the fourth time in a grappling competition; each has a record of two victories and two defeats. Therefore, this battle may determine which of the two is better. Meregali most recently took home two gold medals from the 2023 IBJJF Pans Championship. Contrarily, Duarte competed at the 2023 IBJJF World Championship and took home two medals: a silver in the super-heavyweight category and a bronze in the absolute weight category.

The WNO Flyweight Champion, Ffion Davies, is eager to defend her title against Jasmine Rocha. Haisam Rida and Felipe Pena are on different cards. Since Rida has lost his last four fights in a row, he will undoubtedly try to defeat the world champion multiple times.

Nicky Ryan vs Rene Sousa is announced on a different bout card. It is Ryan’s first match of 202. Moreover, Ryan has participated in the ADCC three times and is currently competing after the 2022 ADCC World Championship. However, Sousa, who is part of the B-Team Jiu Jitsu, achieved victories over PJ Barch and Gabriel Almeida earlier in the current year. Sousa, also regarded as the expert in the buggy choke, has a 1-1 WNO record.
