Mikey Musumeci Has Announced His Partnership With Meta
Mikey Musumeci has recently announced his partnership with Meta, one of the world’s most valued firms. While the exact financial worth of this agreement remains confidential, it’s indeed one of the most significant developments in professional grappling history. Most athletes’ commercial partnerships are typically with businesses in the BJJ niche or smaller local businesses in the grappler’s vicinity. Only a very few competitors have ever succeeded in landing significant sponsorship agreements with major organizations. In fact, this has only really happened in recent years.
In the buildup to ADCC 2022, one of the most significant sponsorship agreements is locked by Gordon Ryan from The Joe Rogan Experience. This was undeniably one of the sport’s largest sponsorships, demonstrating that most sponsorships are typically from brands already linked to BJJ in some capacity. Ryan also secured a huge Bitcoin Cash agreement at the same event, receiving $100,000 from the company for promotional purposes. Ryan is currently the most prominent figure in the sport, so it’s logical that he would be able to use his status to negotiate larger deals.
Erich Munis recently signed a sponsorship agreement with Reebok, another prominent brand that chose to collaborate with a leading BJJ competitor. While the exact worth of this sponsorship remains undisclosed, it’s probably a substantial sum, considering the size of the business. There have been a few similar agreements with some of the sport’s legends, but the partnership between Mikey Musumeci and Meta is significantly more noteworthy. The details of how this deal transpired are unclear, but Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg was recently seen training BJJ with Musumeci, indicating a pre-existing relationship between the two.
Mikey Musumeci revealed he had partnered with Meta in a recent post on his official Instagram account.
